I’ve been listening to fwd:thinking podcast and learning more about Marketing Operations at other companies. Marketing Operations should be seperate from IT and Revenue Ops. These departments have different priorities and perspectives.

You want to map out your marketing tools in a few different ways including internal workflow, data flow, and customer exprience flow. This can help understand costs, gaps in tools you may need and roi on the tools you are using.

One idea per post. If I find myself launching into another section, cut and paste the extra into a separate draft post, and tie off the original one with the word “Anyway.” Then publish.
